Soundtrack Geek Awards 2014 Nominees

Posted on by soundtr5 in nominee | 4 Comments

Welcome to the 4th Annual Soundtrack Geek Awards! There’s been a few changes from last year and those are:

1. No initial nominations
2. Nominees chosen based on Top Scores 2013 Critic’s Choice and Soundtrack Geek Index.
3. No “Other: ” field except for the composer category. These nominations are final.

Basically 5 nominees are chosen based on what 20+ soundtrack review sites say about the scores and 2 are added based on the Soundtrack Geek Index (Album Excellence). For the category Best Score 10 are chosen based on the Critic’s Choice list and 5 are chosen from the Soundtrack Geek Index.

So start voting! The votes will close on Sunday 26th of January and the winners will be announced that very evening!

Final nominees and voting after the jump!

PS! There’s a bug on Android that doesn’t allow you to see more than the top 3 choices, so I made an (ugly) workaround. Android users, please go to this page (Soundtrack Geek Awards 2014 Nominees – Android Friendly) and vote. Thanks!

Thanks for all the votes! The poll is now closed. Winners will be announced throughout the day.

Thanks everyone for voting!

I will now check the results and the final nominations will be ready for voting later today!

Some of you might have noticed that one important category was missing: Best Score.

It was the plan all along because once I got your votes in all the categories, best score will

contain the top score in each category + a few more to make it 15.

So stay tuned for the final nominations coming tonight!

Soundtrack Geek Awards 2013 Initial Voting

Posted on by soundtr5 in nominee | 17 Comments

Welcome to the official Soundtrack Geek Awards 2013!

Some slight adjustments to this years Soundtrack Geek Awards. I’ve decided to make it all more manageable with maximum 15 initial nominations to choose from in each category. If I put all scores in here, some categories would have 60+ choices. How did I come up with the top 15 in each category? It’s mostly based on the Top Scores Critic’s Choice 2012 list so only the best scores judged by a number of soundtrack review sites made the list. If your favorite score/composer is not among the alternatives, then use the “other” field to write your nomination.

Just scroll down and vote for your best scores and composers of the previous year.

The voting will last for 1 week and then we will have 5 nominees in each category.

The rules are simple. Only 1 vote per person. That’s it! Have fun!

UPDATE: Initial Voting is now over. We are getting ready for the final nominations Thanks for voting!
